Hi, I'm Jordyn. Professional goofball, pun lover, and sprinkle enthusiast. I was given the nickname "Red" because of my hair color. Unfortunately, no, it's not my natural color. 

​In 2012 when I started baking and experimenting more regularly, the hashtag #redsbakery caught on. I was living in a one bedroom apartment with a tiny, only room for one butt, kitchen and I made the most of it. After discovering I have a gluten sensitivity in 2015, I've been diligently working on perfecting gluten free bakes, because diet restrictions don't have to mean cardboard cookies, amiright?! 

As a bit of a recipe rebel I love exploring different bakes and coming up with interesting flavor combos. Included in this journey have been a few fails, successful recipes that made me happy dance, and being awarded a handful of ribbons at the famous Iowa State Fair.

I currently bake out of my home in Des Moines, Iowa, which I share with my butter loving hound dog, Orville Redenbarker. He also happens to head up the quality control and taste testing department. Near the end of 2019, with help and support of family and friends, this little dream of Red's Bakery finally came to life and I couldn't be more grateful.
